SPACE Program
SPACE Stands for Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions
SPACE is a parent-based treatment program for children and adolescents who have anxiety or OCD. This program can work whether the child is engaging in their own therapy or not.
SPACE was developed by Dr. Eli Lebowitz at the Yale Child Study Center and has undergone several clinical studies to show its effectiveness.
During the SPACE program, parents will learn effective skills and strategies to help their children manage and overcome anxiety and OCD.
We highly recommend that parents of children enrolled in our therapy program participate in SPACE, as it provides valuable tools to reinforce progress at home. However, SPACE is also beneficial for parents of children who are not currently in therapy, offering guidance and support to help them navigate their child’s anxiety more effectively.
Our 8-week program consists of 16 sessions, including 12 group sessions and 4 individual sessions, all designed to provide comprehensive support. Sessions are held twice per week to ensure steady progress.
To create a comfortable and supportive environment, group sessions are limited to 8 participants, allowing for more personalized attention and meaningful connections.
Complimentary onsite childcare is available as well. Learn more here.
